Republicans De-fund ACORN

The House yesterday by a vote of 345-75 denied all federal funding for ACORN, the beleaguered community organizing group at the center of yet another series of scandals. See California Representative Darrell Issa’s (CA-49) report on ACORN to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, which investigates whether the left-leaning organization is “Intentionally Structured As a Criminal Enterprise.”

The report lists in its findings: tax evasion, investment fraud, using tax dollars for partisan purpose, false filings to IRS and Department of Labor, voter registration fraud, embezzelment, and organizational mismanagement. (Read More)
